Good evening,
I have lost my basil & cilantro, and now the aphids are working on my rosemary. I only have a rectangular planter 5x6x24 in which I grow my herbs. Please tell me what I need to do to get rid of these pests in this small area. Perhaps I should remove the other herbs and put this metal planter in the oven, and cook these little buggers.
Your input would be appreciated.

Hi,
I have a serious aphid problem on 13 very large poplar trees (muti-stemed) all well over 70'. They line one side of our driveway. The honey due is so bad we cannot park beneath the trees. I am not a fan of Poplars but my wife insists they stay. I have been told that a systemic treatment is the effective way to treat these trees due to their size. I have been using a product put out by Bayer which has Irramecium (sp) in it. It is expensive to use due to the size of the trees. Its application rate is measured in the 1/4" and these trees, with the muti-stems are up to 13' in diameter. I have treated the two trees that create the most problems for us but the no visible improvement has been made yet. I understand that in trees this large it may take months for the treatment to work its way throughout the tree.
I do have a very large thermal fogger and am wondering if your Bifenthrin can be run through it. I am hoping this may give us some relief until the treatment treatment works. Also if you know any more cost effective way to treat these trees it would be most appreciated. thanks
