Hey,

Saw your web site, so you asked for pictures (I got them!) You can post any you like. I thought these guys were lady bugs so I let them live. WRONG! They are eating my wisteria, and moving onto the roses! They prefer the wisteria:

Hi Jonathan,

I'm hoping you can help me with some information regarding carpet beetle infestation and the itching it can cause.  I live in Michigan, and I just recently found a bunch of carpet beetles all over my home, on every level, including the basement.  We vacuumed, sprayed, bombed, sprayed, vacuumed again, and had Orkin come out twice now, and vacuumed some more.  I read an article (but only found one) that said that the little tiny hairs on carpet beetles can cause severe itching.  It seems me and my two dogs have the hardest time with this, but my husband and daughter don't.  Apparently, if you wear socks it creates an electrical charge that attracts the hairs to you, and vacuuming does too.  My question is, how do we get rid of the microscopic hairs that are all over the house, and how long does it take to go away?  Have you heard of this before?  I'm not sure if this is common or not, and I'm guessing I'm allergic to them somehow, but I'm going crazy with itching…LOL.  Please, any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated.  I thank you for your article which was very informative, and I thank you for your time.  Have a wonderful day!
Sincerely, J.
p.s.  The itching has calmed down since we began treatment, but not completely:)  I've seen a dermatologist for steroid shots and prescription strength lotion.

I've got blister beetles (see attached photos) on several  plants around my barn and I'm worried for my horses. I heard they can get sick from ingesting this insect so I want to spray something that won't hurt them. These bugs are pretty heavily infested on several plants around the house and yard too and they're nasty. My fly spray is a little too strong I'm thinking so I was hoping you had something organic that won't hurt the horses. Thnks.

I've got small little bugs on one side of my house that look like kudzu beetles. They're not ladybugs or roaches but they're kind of round and there lots of them. like hundreds. What can I spray to keep them off the house?

Hello,

I was reading your website about how to treat carpet beetles and I just had a few questions if you don't mind. We seem to have a good infestation in our home, I don't know how we got it but they seemed to have lived in our home since we purchased it a year ago. I have noticed several of my sweaters were eaten which lead us to find the infestation. They have spread all over our house and we don't know exactly where they are coming from. Over the last 2 months we have started vacuuming all the time and have used an ortho pest control around all the baseboards and in our crawl space. This has cut down the numbers but we are still finding at least 1 or 2 a day around the house.
