Will permethrin, applied with a fogger, defeat chiggers? Can Cyfluthrin be used with a fogger?

If you review our on line article on CHIGGER CONTROL, you'll see we recommend the CYFLUTHRIN to be sprayed out in the yard for chiggers. It does a great job on them and goes a long way too making it economical to apply. And though it's most commonly applied with a HOSE END SPRAYER, you can use a type of fogger to apply it. I would recommend the FM6309 which is more of a mister than a true fogger.

I am using a 16 gallon Northern Tool 2.2 GPM sprayer with CYFLUTHRIN POWDER for chiggers but find the instructions confusing.  Would you please confirm that one level spoonful per gallon of water is the correct mixture.

Hello,
Thank you for your informative information regarding those pesky horrible chiggers.  My husband & I live in the mountains in Ellijay are are plagued by chiggers.  I walk my 2 dogs daily along a gravel road and I'm very careful not to even go near the edge of the road.  I spray myself with "Repel" before walking.  I have been bitten by more that a dozen chiggers and I am nor near to any plant life.  When we are outside on the porch and/or deck, not even close to any plant life and get bitten also….  Help!!!  Can our 2 dogs carry chiggers then bring them in the house and chiggers then end upon us???  We have flowers and  small vegetable garden pots on our deck, can chiggers be on the vegetation??? Thank you so much for your time.  We love the north GA woods but these chiggers are nearly driving us crazy.
