I am interested in purchasing a device that will keep squirrels away.  I have squirrels in my attic.  My father suggested an electronic device.  What do you recommend?

We have several unit that can be deployed to actively repel squirrels. These units vary design wise depending on whether you plan on using them inside or outside the home. But keep in mind that if you have some in the attic which are nesting, it's tough to chase them away with just sound since this is their home. As explained in our SQUIRREL CONTROL ARTICLE, it's always best to relocate the nesting animal first. Next, seal their entry ways and then lastly, install ULTRA SOUND DEVICES around the perimeter of the house outside where they're active or in the attic so that if others find their way into this space, they'll be greeted with a sound they will not like and move out and away.
