We are a new company that is specializing in the management of indoor horticultural facilities. We are looking for something to combat spider mites, and were leaning towards some sort of fogger and a pyrethrin product.
What do you recommend?
If you review our SPIDER MITE CONTROL ARTICLE, you’ll learn this pest is best controlled with liquid treatments that are both thorough and deliberate. BIFEN is an odorless material and though a derivative of pyrethrin, much less irritating to use and an active that will provide a much longer residual. This is paramount when trying to control this pest and very much needed if you expect to get long term control.
To make sure the plant is thoroughly covered with the Bifen, add some SPREADER STICKER to your tank mix. It’s what is also known as an adjuvant and as such will enable the Bifen to coat the plant leaves and stems better. This insures better results from your treatment.
Lastly, most people apply these products with a standard PUMP SPRAYER. Low pressure will suffice and a wide fan pattern nozzle setting is generally best suited. But you could opt to apply the material in a MINI FOGGER or one of our other MISTERS if you have a lot of area to cover. Misting the material is quite effective as it allows you to cover large areas quickly, saves time and saves money because you tend to use less product.
