Hello,
I recently purchase a home in Groveland Florida and I now realize that apart of the land is (wetland area). I have seen a few small snakes at the back of the yard and i want to know if there is a way to keep snakes away from my house. I have little kids and i need to know what options i have. Please let me know if you can help me get rid of these.
Thank you
Snakes in the yard is a common problem when you live on property which borders on natural wetlands and other wild habitat. Snakes are constantly on the move foraging for food. For the most part they’ll avoid people when they can but many times conflict is inevitable when you’re that close to a healthy snake population.
Snake control can be achieved many ways. We offer repellents as well as traps all of which are explained in our SNAKE CONTROL ARTICLE. For your specific problem, I’m sure the SNAKE REPELLENT GRANULES would be the best option for now. Sprinkled along the property edge, it should do a good job of keeping them off your land and not as willing to come into your yard. This will have to be applied every 1-2 months and if you have a lot of snakes in the area, using some of our SNAKE TRAPS might be a more productive way to minimize the invasions.
These items can be seen on our SNAKE PRODUCTS page and if you have further questions, give us a call on our toll free 1.800.877.7290 during regular business hours.
