I just found the attached bug on your website and it looks like the Boxelder bug. They are infesting around the side door of my house where there is a wooden deck and masonary block. Underneath the deck and door is a gravel bed of pebbles. What should I use and where to apply?
If you read through our BOXELDER BUG CONTROL ARTICLE, you’ll see several products listed that will control this pest. I suspect they are nesting down under the gravel so the first thing you should do is apply some DELTAGUARD GRANULES to this area. Next, spray over the top with the CYPERMETHRIN and SPREADER STICKER which should also be applied to any surfaces on the house where you see them congregating. Lastly, apply PT PHANTOM to the inside of the home if they start to invade. Expect to treat the outside 1-2 every fall and 1-2 every spring till you no longer see activity. Use the Phantom as needed inside to prevent any from nesting in your living area.
