We have a bat problem at our summer home in Montana. We put up netting last fall which has helped considerably, but we still have some problem areas that are hard to reach. We are considering trying to blow cayenne pepper into their roosting areas with a shop vac. Do you think this might work?
There are several other repellents which would work better for this problem. I would recommend either the ULTRA SONIC DEVICES, the 4-THE-BIRDS GEL or the BAT SCAT as they would all be better choices. These can be learned about in our BAT CONTROL ARTICLE. There is no evidence to suggest the pepper would work and if the bats are hiding in the wall voids, it will be really hard to get to them directly. For this reason, one of the outside options suggested above will prove more effective for sure.
