I’ve got black carpet beetles and would like to know what to do. They’ve been active in my living room carpeting and now I’m finding them on my couch. I’m afraid they’re going to take over if I don’t do something.
Black carpet beetles can be a stubborn pest. Treatments can take awhile to have full effect and one of the keys to getting rid of them will be to break their cycle using the INSECT GROWTH REGULATOR. I suggest you read our on line article on CARPET BEETLE CONTROL which will explain all you’ll need to do. Again, the big key will be to do a thorough treatment including the treatment of all your rugs in all rooms. The most common reason treatments fail for this pest is due to ignoring part of the home. Since they are quite mobile, it’s most likely that are more widespread than you might imagine so don’t take any chances, get as much treated to insure you knock them out efficiently.
