Hello,
I found you website/products after doing a search on the internet.
We own a townhouse in NJ, and unfortunately —- see stinkbugs occasionally on the outside walls of the building, on the window screens (outside), and yes —- some inside the house on the walls.
I saw a few items to use — I feel it would be a good idea to treat outside – along the ground, all window/door cracks, also want to treat inside, and I feel —– the attic would be a good idea also.
We do have pets — want to make sure all items are safe for pets and humans – all will be away from the applied areas until dried.
If you would —– please give me your advise as to the items below I found, let me know if you think I should start with a specific item first, or I should use a few different items at the same time —– don’t want to get more than I need or the wrong combination of items.
Cypermethrin
spreader sticker — would buy both to use together
Deltamethrin dust
Dust Mizer — would buy both – I need this to propel the dust up to 30′ , my attic does not have a floor/plywood, only beams to stand on — not very safe. Could I also use this outside to treat or best in the attic ?
Thank you for your assistance.
First, keeping the pets away when doing the treatment is suggested. Be sure to let the areas dry and this usually only takes less than an hour and they’ll be able to safely come back and live as before.
As for the product listing; you are right on with the CYPERMETHRIN and SPREADER STICKER for outside on the structure. The DELTAMETHRIN DUST applied with the DUSTIN MIZER in the attic won’t be needed frequently; usually once a year is enough to keep all pests under wraps. And yes, you can apply it from the outside through a vent into the attic if you have access. But if you notice in our Dustin Mizer Video, the tool does get the dust to travel quite a bit so I don’t think you’ll have to move around up there much which will help to keep you safe. You should be able to get the product to cover some 30 foot area from one central location and most people can get their entire attic treated with a minimal amount of moving around so you don’t have put yourself at too much risk.
The only thing I didn’t see you mention was something for the inside. If you’re seeing a lot in there, be sure to use the D-FORCE AEROSOL so these aren’t able to continue nesting as they’ll be out of reach of the dust and cypermethrin treatments mentioned above. As our STINKBUG ARTICLE explains, cracks and crevices are where they thrive so don’t let them live there untouched if do any other treatments.
