I read your online report on buffalo gnats…very interesting. Would you be kind enough to tell me how I can kill them in the larvae or pupae stag? They are in the basement (100% finished) of my home and I can kill the adult flies with a pesticide by Bayer, but the pupae are crawling all over the floors, walls, and ceilings of my finished rooms. What can I do to kill them in this stage at the source before they start crawling all over my basement and become adult flies?
Thanks for your help!
In our BUFFALO GNAT CONTROL article, we discuss a product that is used exactly for this purpose. It’s called NYLAR and can be applied to these areas. It will not kill any adults but as a juvenile growth hormone, it will effectively prevent larvae from growing to fully mature adults.
