Can I take care of them myself or should I have a professional take care of them? I do have them inside my home, unfortunately.
It’s very hard to tell you whether you should do your own pest control or hire a service company. Our experience has shown that if the person who normally does most of the physical “household” chores is receptive to the idea of “doing a little work to save some money”, then attempting the task in house would be a valid decision. We definitely see people who approach the work with a positive attitude stand a much better chance of success compared to situations where the person is “forced into it” or “reluctant” from the very beginning. Whether they don’t have the time or they simply aren’t too concerned we don’t know; what we do know is that if they don’t want to help, they should not be forced to assist.
We also see problems when the “pest” involved is targeting only one member of the household or isn’t even noticed by the other residents. If the targeted person who notices the pest then tries to get someone else to do the treating, it will almost surely not work. The only time it might work out is if the person doing the labor is genuinely concerned about the other person or persons who are unhappy. So if only you are concerned about what you’re seeing and no one else in the home much cares, it would be best if either you do the treating or that you hire a professional company to do it for you if you can’t. We are quite sure using an unwilling participant won’t work and we strongly advise against it.
Lastly, it’s important to keep in mind that what we sell is what professional pest control companies use so realize if you do hire a company, hire them for their service and not some special product you believe they’ll be using. We help thousands of people do their own in house pest control every year and get wonderful feedback from many of them who have solved their problem with our help and our professional product line. We’re pretty sure with our professional guidance most any pest control problem found around the home can be handled by any willing person who puts a little effort into the process. The first step is getting educated. We have learned that anyone willing to read our material and follow directions will qualify as someone that can do their own pest control. Once armed with some knowledge, most people are ready to take on the project at hand and it’s at this point we can usually assist.

In the end it will have to be you or the person that would be doing the work who will have to decide if the task is done in house or by a company for hire. It’s just not a decision we’re able to make but if you decide to try, we can definitely help!
