I am needing a lice spray to use in shared batting helmets for a Little League team. It must be a lice spray that we can use after each game to keep the helmets as lice free as possible. Do you know if there is a spray which would work for this purpose? Is it safe to use for something like that?
At this time there is no lice spray which is labeled for use on helmets or hats so I’m hesitant to say to use it. We do have a product which we know people use on their skin for getting rid of bedbugs and lice. They mostly use it to wash their clothing but many of them use it as a spray. They add the Kleen Free to a small sprayer like our 32 oz Spritzer Sprayer and apply it to pillows cases, head rests and other public places where they’ve had problems with lice. It doesn’t provide any residual action so it won’t pose a hazard to anyone wearing the helmets after the appliction dries.
