I live in San Diego, Ca. We have a new load of firewood and it had alot of earwigs in it. I looked at several of your products but it didn’t say anything about the effects of earwig treatment on pets. We have two kittens about six months old and they go outside alot. Can you recommend a product that is not harmful to them yet still take care of the problem? Thank you for your time.
First, if you go back to our EARWIG PRODUCTS page and click on any product, you’ll see a “safety” section down the page including safety videos. These talk about use of all our products in and around the home regarding people and pets. If you view these you’ll learn all the products listed are Ok to be used in such areas as long as you keep the pets away during the treatment. Further details reside in the video but for the most part, just keep them away during the treatment and for a short while afterward and they will be fine.
Second, one of the products you’ll see in this section is the ECO EXEMPT DUST. This material is all natural and does not pose any kind of risk or danger to people or pets so therefore is very safe. Dusting the wood and areas around it would be fine and effective on the earwigs.
Lastly, if you want something to spray, use the ECO EXEMPT IC concentrate over the Esfenvalerate if you want to be 100% safe with no reason for concern. Again, the ECO is all natural and won’t pose any kind of hazard to your pets yet it will be effective on earwigs. It’s fine to spray both inside and outside the home.
