cypermethrin shelf life

April 28, 2009 By Tech Support 4 Comments

Hi,
I’ll probably be getting Cypermethrin, the water soluble kind, and also Maxforce Granules. I’ve used those before. In the past I’ve gotten more than I needed and used it for subsequent years. I always presumed some loss of effectiveness with older product (after the first year).
Would you know what the loss of potency is on these products? Do they maintain there strength or weaken off to nothing?

For the most part, there is no real change or degradation for several years. If stored in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight, most everything we sell will remain stable for many years. When “bulk size” buying, limit your sizes to what you’ll use in three years. Everything we sell should last 3-5 years without changes when stored right; keeping in the 3 year limit means you should always be Ok with what you have in stock.

Here are direct links to the information and products listed above:

Please tell me what the shelf life is on the NBS repellent. I just orderd 2 pints and if I don’t need it all, I wondered how long it would still be effective for future use.

    Thanks.

At least 5 years. Some of our concentrates will start to degrade after just 1-2 years but most will be stable a good 3 years. NBS is actually very stable and will be fine for at least 5 years as long as you store it in a cool dry place.

Does Drione dust and Viper have a shelf life? Same question for Advanced ant bait. These are all products I purchased from you over the years. Thanks.

@guest: As stated above, 5 years on the Viper and 3-5 on the Drione and Ant Bait as long as you keep them in a dry, 60-80 degree room. I’ve actually kept all three for longer periods of time and saw no degradation of performance but in general, this is not recommended.
