Hello, I moved into a 3rd floor high-rise condo building near Philadelphia last September. It is a brick structure. My unit is on a corner and has a wrap-around balcony. However, sometimes I can’t sit out there because of the bothersome sting bugs. They cling to the sliding screen doors so much, sometimes I can’t even open the glass doors for air. I’m not a fan of air conditioning, preferring the open air feeling. The building is well maintained, and management does have a regular exterminating service. Is there anything I could ask them to do to my balcony area to help eliminate the problem? I don’t think they would allow me to screen it in, as none of the other units have done that. They have strict regulations, but I am thinking about asking anyway. Are there any hanging hanging bugs catchers that might help? Thank you for any help you can offer.
Sincerely, M.K.
Currently the only Stink Bug Catcher we sell in our BUG VACUUM. It’s easy to use and very powerful. If you are able to reach them you can use the vacuum to suck them up and discard them as desired.
Alternatively you could opt to spray some CYPERMETHRIN CONCENTRATE on the siding. It’s highly repellent to bees, wasps and other flying pests like mosquitoes and even Stinkbugs. Treatments would last 2-4 weeks and would keep them off treated surfaces for sure.
Lastly, the organic option would be the FLYING INSECT KILLER. This aerosol won’t last as long as the Cypermethrin but it could be used to spray them directly and on surfaces where you didn’t want them active.
