I’m seeing these fast moving white tinybugs in my living room. What can they be? They seem to be centered around the couch and I don’t think they’re biting anyone but they’re too fast to catch and once they get back under the couch, we can’t find them.
I don’t know for sure what you might be seeing so it would be best if you were able to send us a sample for positive id. I know this won’t help much since you haven’t been able to catch them but I feel this would be best so keep trying. There are several possibilities including roaches, bedbugs, ants and mites that all could be described as white tiny bugs during one stage or another. Roaches are generally dark but young still developing will many times shed their skin. This gives them a white appearance. And there are several species of ants and mites which can be white in look as well. Earwigs or firebrats can also appear white so again, without a sample to inspect, it’s pretty much impossible for us to know for sure.
You might consider getting some GLUEBOARD MONITORS from us. If you set them up around the couch, there is a high likelyhood one of these tiny bugs will walk on it, get caught and then you can get it positively identified. We get bugs mailed to us daily so it’s something we’re used to seeing; if you live close by the store you can drop it by and we usually provide a resolution on the spot.
