What do you recommend for tomato hornworm control? I grow a lot of tomato plants and want something organic I can spray. I used to pick them off but there are just so many I miss it gets frustrating. I heard about using soap but I don’t think it’s the kind I use in the bathroom. Do you have any good organic sprays?
Tomato Hornworms can do a lot of damage if left to eat as they wish. Fortunately there are several organic gardening certified options that can be used safely and effectively to control this pest.
INSECTICIDAL SOAP is one option that can be used for tomato hornworm control. It’s fast acting and safe for any organic garden. But it won’t last long so we don’t think it’s your best option.
Newer products like MULTIPURPOSE INSECT KILLER or 3 IN 1 FIM seem to work better and are organic gardening compliant so they can be used safely. Mix these up in any small pump sprayer like our 2 LITER SOLO or 1 GALLON ELIMINATOR. Treat as needed but a good general rule to follow is once a week once they become active.
